If you’re from out of town and reading this, you’re probably coming to Gibraltar specifically for the Comic-Con. But there’s a whole, big, beautiful city out there beyond the walls of the Convention Center, and we whole-heartedly recommend you see at least some of it.
In addition to Little Bay and Rosia beach, Europa Point Lighthouse, and the University of Gibraltar—the areas adjacent to the Convention Center—there’s a world of attractions within a short distance of the Comic-Con Campus. The Skywalk (an architectural gem, with stunning views, opened recently by world-renowned Luke Skywalker), the upper rock nature reserve, laden with the beauty and depth of history here on the rock, Gibraltar Botanic Gardens known as Alameda Gardens, the scenic Old Town of Gibraltar, Main Street, Gibraltar’s main commercial and shopping district, and the many different beautiful beaches and the broad range of restaurants in Gib are all must-see attractions.
There are also beautiful scenic regions nearby such as Seville, Cordoba, Malaga, Tarifa, and Jerez, which are all worth exploring. Whether you’re staying a few extra days before or after Comic-Con, or just looking for a break from the hubbub of the big event, get out and enjoy yourself in the almost-always beautiful Gibraltarian weather. Trust us, we live here: you’ll be glad you did!
